Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
J K Rowling
The hero of this tale, Harry Potter, is a small boy who finds out that he
is a wizard. This amusing story is essentially a re-working of the
traditional boarding school tales of the past, but with the twist that the
school is for trainee wizards. Doreen noted that she had originally bought
the book because of the hype but had then found it extrememly well
written and very entertaining. Highly recommended.

Rory had been reading this and the Philosopher's Stone, and says that he enjoyed them so much
that he is looking forward to reading all seven of the projected series. He
described them as a good mixture of a children and an adults book. The subjects are juvenile but they stand-up to an adult reading. Rory characterised the humour as beanoesque!
