This is the third volume of Pullman's 'Northern Lights' trilogy. Jean enjoyed the trilogy. The final volume was excellent and altogether a deeper and darker book than the first two. The description of the world of the dead, and Pullman's way of conceptualizing death was particularly impressive. Highly recommended.
