Portrait of a Lady
Henry James
It's the first of his I've read and I'm really enjoying it. We
get to page 200 before he introduces a major character. The story
is about an American woman who goes to Italy where she meets
another American. At first the reader is taken in by him but then you
begin to realise there's something unpleasant about him.
