Andrew is reading this huge book very slowly. The book is a painstaking journey through a man's life, and it reminded him of A Prayer for Owen Meany – particularly with a lot of amateur dramatics at school.

Andrew had read this very detailed (820 pages) book with lots of wrestling and prostitution (but no bears). Our hero is searching for his mother and father and "there's a penis on every page". If you are a John Irving fan it is a chore but worth it.
