Note on a Scandal

I really liked this. It's a very accomplished piece of writing. It could just be a story about a teacher who has an affair with a pupil. What sets it apart is the description of events by a third party narrator. Her view of things makes the reader question all that's happening. Recommended (despite it carrying a Richard and Judy bookclub sticker).
