The Colour Of A Dog Running Away
Richard Gwynn
A thriller about a translator working in Barcelona who gets caught up in things that he (and to start with, you, the reader) cannot understand. Quite good and recommended, even though the author is Welsh (only kidding, Caroline).

One improbability too far made him give up.

Caroline didn’t find this as compelling as Seán did. It’s set in Barcelona and is a mystery and a love story. It’s full of strange people (one keeps rabbits on a roof). It switches from the first to the third person and ran out of steam at the end.
