This book started well. The narrator is a young very wealthy
woman living in London virtually as a recluse. She never goes out
of the house and everything is brought to her. Instead of taking
holidays, foreignors are invited to the house. After this good
start, the book becomes “weird” and
“silly”, and left Doreen feeling confused.
