March
Geraldine Brooks
The beautifully written story of a man, basically the father of the Louisa May Allsop's Little Women, going off to the American civil war. Various timings have had to be fiddled with to make it work, but work it does.
Christine liked this book very much, it helps to have read Little Women and (as she suspected) most of the men in the room had not.

This is a fabulous book about the father of the girls in Little Women. Mr March is a non-conformist chaplain with the Union army. Recommended.
