The Longest Memory

This month is Black History Month and Milton Keynes library joined in - and I borrowed this book. It's the winner of a couple of awards and is about a slave in Virginia in the 1830s. The story is told from different points of view. There are also articles from the newspapers of the day attempting to square slave-owning with Christianity. Recommended.
